Ambient air monitoring is an integral part of an effective air quality management system. For 2021, the air quality monitoring network in the MIMAROPA Region includes four monitoring stations: three manual ambient air samplers in the Baco-Calapan City-Naujan (BCN) Airshed in Oriental Mindoro and one continuous monitoring station in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
The BCN Airshed monitoring stations includes samplers that measures PM10 and TSP, while the Puerto Princesa City continuous monitoring network measures PM10 and PM2.5
