In pursuit of ensuring the implementation of the Gender and Development program in the Bureau, the Environmental Management Bureau MIMAROPA Region participated in the Training of Trainers on Gender Analysis for Selected Environmental Management Bureau Central and Regional Offices on August 29 to September 1, 2023 at Lafaayette Luxury Suites, Baguio City.

EMB CAR OIC – Regional Director Engr. Jean C. Borromeo conveyed her welcome remarks and inspirational message to the speaker and attendees of the webinar. Moreover, EMB GAD Champions from different regions were recognized for their dedicated passion and excellent service throughout the years.

Ms. Katherine Viñega, Resource Speaker, spearheaded the 3 Day Training Workshop. The training workshop proceeded with a discussion on the principles of learning and knowing your learners or for future trainings in respective regions. Guidelines on how to be an effective trainer were also discussed and outputs were presented by the participants at the end of the training.

EMB GAD Module were highlighted throughout the training – Session 1: Gender and Development Mandates, Session 2: Gender Sensitivity, Session 3: Gender and Environment, and Session 4: Gender Mainstreaming and Action Planning.

By the end of the training workshop, participants from different regions were tasked to review the existing Facilitator’s Guide of EMB GAD Module and conduct a mock-up or sample training in a face-to-face setting.

The said training was conducted and organized by the Environmental Management Bureau Central Office.
