In order to strengthen stewardship towards environmental protection and improve environmental compliances of establishments within the region, the Environmental Management Bureau MIMAROPA organized and facilitated a Basic Training Course for Pollution Control Officers on 18-22 July 2022 via Zoom.

Various participants from the private sector and local government units attended the 5-day virtual training with resource speakers from EMB MIMAROPA Region sharing their knowledge and expertise.

Among the speakers who discussed about the various environmental laws and policy updates include Regional Executive Assistant Ashley Denise Adora L. Ignacio, Environmental Monitoring and Enforcement Division Chief Engr. Pablito M. Estorque, Jr.; Supervising Environmental Management Specialist (EMS) Engr. Buena Fe Rioflorido; Air and Water Permitting Section Chief Engr. Czes C. Bongco; Ambient Monitoring and Technical Services Section Chief Maevelyn Kathryn Tupasi; Air Quality Monitoring Section Chief Erwin Lizardo; Chemicals and Hazardous Wastes Management Permitting Section Chief Engr. Christy A. Matias; Legal Unit Chief Maria Rizza Carmela Ranjo; Ambient Water Monitoring Unit Chief Jane T.
